Toy Design
Wooden track and vehicle toy bringing durable materials to a rising motorsport fan market.

Formula Forge
Academic project to design a product using one material, which was later iterated upon and further developed as a concept.
The Problem
With Formula One viewership rapidly growing in the United States, there is a lack of age-appropriate motorsport toys for three- to five-year-olds that encourage fine motor skill development and imaginative play. Most options rely heavily on plastic, creating an opportunity for a push-and-play toy made with sustainable materials like wood to engage young fans while supporting healthier play and environmental responsibility.

Modular Race Track
Providing kids the opportunity to build their dream racetrack with 3 modular pieces forming any track the child's mind can create.

The Pieces are coming together
To race on the track a vehicle that could capture the essence of Formula 1 cars both past and present was developed.

Vehicle Development
After developing the concept for the modular track, the next piece of the puzzle was to design a simple wooden car that would fit within the track and provide push and play racing run.

Vehicle Design
Concept 1 was selected for its manufacturing simplicity and more classic form aligning with designs of classic wooden toys.

Pitstop Playset
Further development into the Formula Forge concept by expanding with a compatible playset.
